II was awarded the contract to rationalise business operations, re-engineer financial and reporting systems and facilitate the commercial development of the business. I was then invited to help sell-off the break-away start up, Smartcards International. |

Re-engineered financial and reporting systems, and installed global project and time recording system as part of the European shared service centre. Rationalised the contractor base down to 20 contractors. Fully integrated the Smartcard operation of Fujitsu into Group Operations which included all management reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. Negotiated the breakaway of Smartcards International, for which I later established core management team and sold the business to the Oberture Group for £10M. |
