Remit of the Role  

II was primarily responsible for updating, analysing and reporting on all projects being undertaken by the company (approx 100 at any one time).  I was also asked to help specify the requirements for the job costing element of the company's first computerised accounting system.
 
Projects & Activities
 

  • Maintained the project P&L's for each promotion being undertaken

  • Responsible for the A/R reconciliation and credit control

  • Preparation of all accruals and prepayments

  • Monthly analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts

  • Analysis and reconciliation of the cash book.

  • Ad hoc project and cost analysis as required
Key Achievements
 

  • Specified the requirements for the computerised job costing system

  • Helped set up the company's first set of computerised management accounts
 
Reason For Leaving
 
The company could not offer me the opportunity (for at least a year) to take on responsibility for the company management accounts which was the main reason for moving to my next role at Atari.
