Overview of the Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Manager and Business Unit Managers to mitigate commercial risk including supplier and contract management, undertake investment appraisal and review business development opportunities for the National Grid account - 7 year contract worth circa £200-£300 million.

   
Remit of the Role  
   

Awarded consultancy position to develop best practice commercial practice including investment appraisal, risk management, para-legal support including contract drafting and management of major client contracts including extensive sub-contractor management and development of supplier SLA's.

 
Key Projects & Activities
 
  • Commercial risk assessment including risk mitigation
  • Undertake risk/benefit analysis to as part of investment appraisal
  • Manage modifications/CCN's to client contract/sub-contracts

  • Review business unit compliance and contractual disputes with the customer
  • Provide interpretation of T&Cs to both CSC sales team and clients
  • Presentation of commercial due diligence and risk analysis for both major suppliers and clients to senior management.
  • Customer specifications and adherence to company policy
  • Co-ordination of inter-disciplinary business delivery team for solution delivery.
  • Commercial review and management of deal and incremental change requests.
  • Margin protection through prevention of 'scope creep'
  • Supplier procurement management and control.
  • Act as client and supplier point of contact for all commercial matters
